Helping young minds learn to focus, plan, regulate, and thrive.

At Zentro Growth, I walk alongside families to turn everyday challenges—like starting homework, managing big feelings, and staying organized—into lifelong strengths. I focus on ages 2 to 8, the years when executive function develops fastest, using personalized, encouraging coaching to give your child the practical tools they need to build confidence, feel in control, and truly thrive at home, in school, and in life.

Focus · Plan · Regulate · Thrive

Every coaching plan is built around these four interconnected skill areas, sequenced to your child’s exact developmental level, not just their age. Tap a pillar to see how it grows over time.

Why Executive Function Matters

More Than a Skill: It's the Foundation for Everything Else

Executive function is the brain's "air traffic control," the system that manages focus, emotions, and behavior so a child can actually use what they know. Here's why strengthening it early changes so much.

The Foundation for School Readiness

Coming to school with solid focus and self-regulation matters more for kindergarten readiness than knowing letters and numbers. It's what lets a child actually learn.

The Truest Predictor of Success

Early executive function levels directly predict future reading comprehension, math ability, and overall school achievement, often more than IQ.

Helps Your Child Be Understood

When a child struggles to sit still or follow directions, it's easy for that to be mistaken for "bad behavior." Building EF skills helps your child be seen for who they really are.

Builds Real Friendships

Turn-taking, sharing, and reading other perspectives all run through executive function, the foundation of healthy peer relationships.

Makes Daily Routines Easier

Strong working memory is what lets a child hold onto "get dressed, grab your bag, get in the car" without it evaporating halfway through.

Pays Off for Years to Come

The self-regulation skills your child builds now can shape their health, relationships, and stability for decades to come.

Does My Child Need Coaching?

What It Looks Like vs. What It Actually Is

As parents, it's easy to misinterpret daily struggles as behavioral issues or a lack of effort. In reality, what often looks like defiance or laziness is a lagging executive function skill. It's simply a signal that your child's cognitive toolkit still needs support.

Task Initiation

“They are being lazy and won't start.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging task initiation. The brain's "start button" is physically stuck, making the transition into work feel overwhelming.

Working Memory

“They are being rude and ignoring my rules.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging working memory. The directions simply "fell off" their mental sticky note before they could act on them.

Inhibitory Control

“They are choosing to have a tantrum.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging inhibitory control. High stress or emotional arousal has overwhelmed their brain's internal "brakes."

Cognitive Flexibility

“They are being stubborn and won't listen.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging cognitive flexibility. Their brain is struggling to "shift gears" to a new perspective or activity.

Emotional Regulation

“They are overly dramatic and blow small things out of proportion.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging emotional regulation. They lack the cognitive bridge needed to pause between a trigger and their response.

Metacognition & Self-Monitoring

“They rush through everything and make careless mistakes because they're sloppy.”

What It Actually Is

Lagging self-monitoring. Their brain moves straight to "done" without an internal check-your-work loop.

How Executive Function Coaching Helps

Struggling with these daily demands is not a reflection of your child's intelligence or desire to do well.

Through compassionate, evidence-based coaching, I work with you to identify these lagging skills, reduce family friction, and build practical strategies that foster lasting independence and self-confidence.

David Beraha, Zentro Growth Executive Function Coach
About Your Coach

Hi, I'm David, your child's EF coach

For over 20 years, I've worked as a classroom educator, curriculum specialist, and early childhood leader. I've always been fascinated by how young minds process the world, spark new ideas, and build self-reliance.

Along the way, I kept noticing the same essential missing piece in many children: strong executive function skills. The focus, working memory, planning, follow-through, and emotional regulation that develop through executive function are the real engine behind every child’s learning and confidence.

My approach to how children learn and develop was forged through a B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Psychology & Human Development, alongside a Master’s Degree in Education. Having dedicated my career to understanding how young minds thrive, I deepened this foundation with a Montessori Certification and specialized Executive Function certifications to bridge the gap between brain science and daily life. Today, I bring this full spectrum of expertise directly to your family, coaching young learners ages 2 to 8—one skill and one win at a time.

Most importantly…

I'm not trying to change who your child is.

I'm helping them understand how their brain works, discover strategies that work for them, and build the confidence to grow from…

“I can't do it.”

“Let me try.”

“I know what I can do.”

“I can do this myself!”

Small skills practiced today become big strengths for tomorrow.
